First, I am super excited to announce that I have successfully closed on a wonderful small business. Out of respect for the employees who don’t yet know, which is explained below, I am not announcing the name of this wonderful company. The process of getting to the closing table was quite trying. First Bank of the Lake demanded many things, and the seller’s attorney made it hard to get the Asset Purchase Agreement, lease, and seller note into an acceptable form. Not that I can blame the Bank as they are risking 25% of a multimillion dollar loan, but the process was not at all smooth. Refilling out forms was a Ground Hog day scenario, and coming up with last minute additional things needed was lots of fun.
I am not sure if you recall but we spoke a few months ago, when you were in the heart of your search. I have really enjoyed your journal and watching as you have moved closer and closer to your goal. I am confident you will do extremely well operating your newest venture.
